1st harvest, a late 1 at that. Waited way too long to pick the artichoke but it still looks cool.

Kitchen Herb Garden - Easy project created with outdoor window boxes, some wood, paint, Flex-Seal, and some affordable brackets. Can’t wait to use this in times of cold and when we need a quick addition to some meals.

Simply added some wood to the window frames, painted them white to match the trim. Used brackets to hold up the upper shelf and double sided tape to secure the bottom shelf.

Because the window box had holes, I used broken ceramic tiles to plug the holes to prevent leaks. Then masked off the box so that I could spray the Flex-Seal. After spraying the Flex-Seal, I water tested for leaks and it still leaked. So I inserted small planters from previous garden purchases and put them in zip lock bags to further prevent leaks.

Oh Tumblr how I’ve missed you …

I’ve been inactive for a while because I don’t reblog much. So it’s finally warming up (some), the seeds are started, finished a kitchen herb garden (posting pics soon), and gearing up for spring. Can’t wait to get my hands dirty and eat some home grown food.

Thank you for the new follows and old followers that didn’t bail on me. Looking forward to seeing more gardens to spring up and ready to be more active on here.

Pardon the poor quality pics.

Another big tomato harvest with a few jalapenos and probably my last cucumber (cukes aren’t doing so well). Got my first Virginia Sweet tomato and its huge!
